S’pore housing “seriously unaffordable”?

I refer to the article “HK housing market ‘the most unaffordable'” (Straits Times, Jan 25).

Singapore’s housing “seriously unaffordable”?

It states that “Singapore was ranked fifth. Its median multiple was 5.0 … making it “seriously unaffordable”.

Income includes employer CPF? 

Since I understand that Singapore’s gross household income is including employer CPF contribution, unlike other countries – our housing affordability may actually be worse.

Breakdown HDB costs?

Why can’t we disclose the breakdown of HDB BTO prices into construction and land costs, so that we can see arguably, the cashflow “profits”, which may be making flats so unaffordable?

Reciprocate trust with more transparency?

Since the people have given their trust and mandate – shouldn’t we reciprocate by being more transparent?

We should also spend more to help Singaporeans.
