Job fairs always never say what jobs & the pay?

Job fairs should give information on the types of jobs and the pay

Jobseekers get help from career advisers

I refer to the article “Jobseekers in hotel industry can now count on help from experienced career advisers” (Channel NewsAsia, Jul 21).

340 job vacancies

It states that “A targeted career fair during the event had 25 employers offering 340 vacancies”.

Omitting the obvious?

Why is it that news reports on job fairs invariably do not say anything about the most obvious information that readers want to know?

Breakdown type of jobs & pay please?

What is the breakdown of the type of jobs and the pay?

Follow-up: How many jobs to S’poreans?

Also, there should be a follow-up report say about three months later as to how many of the jobs offered at the job fair are actually taken up by Singaporeans?

More transparency please?

Without more transparency – more Singaporeans may become increasing sceptical about job fairs, as the unemployment rate and the numbet of unemployed Singaporeans continue to rise in the current economic downturn.
