TOC “LIVE”:On 12 August, the news reported that Malaysian condo developer at Danga Bay “goes all out to woo S’poreans”. [See screenshot below.]

TOC’s Leong Sze Hian reports “live” from Country Garden at Danga Bay, Johore Bahru, Malaysia. 17 August 2013:

    —————————-

Its property mania as thousands of Singaporeans descend on Danga Bay with Singapore cars filling up the huge car park here.

Hundreds of Singaporeans like me came by the free shuttle buses provided from Serangoon, Tampines, Ang Mo Kio, Jurong, etc.

Reportedly few thousands of the 9,980 units on the 57 hectares property development have already been sold.

Prices range from RM380,000 for a 43.3 metre studio to a RM3.2 million penthouse.

But if you are thinking about buying a penthouse for a mere RM3.2 million, too bad they are all already sold out.

My friends are now in the process of being sold the condos by Elden Chong and Cleo Jee – 2 Malaysian property agents aged 22 and 26 years old.

There is also a proposed Light Rail Transport (LRT) for easy access to the immigration checkpoint.

And maintenance is only estimated to be about 0.30 cents per square foot.

About 20 plus per cent have already been sold to Chinese nationals. They are also here in droves – they even have an exclusive bus pick-up area for them.

So, Malaysia’s gain may be Singapore’ loss!

Great service provided by the property agents, first Elden, the property agent brought us to eat free nasi lemak, Penang char kuey teow, fresh coconut, chendol, etc.

And Elden had offered to drive us back to Singapore – and that was even before he started to talk about the property details yet.
