Public sector should lead in hiring ex-cons

Last Sunday’s article, “Prison visit inspires young leaders to help”http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_800937.html
reported that 1,586 prison inmates found jobs last year before their release, which was an increase of 35 per
cent over the previous year.

The public sector should set the example by employing offenders.

How many of the 1,586 were employed by the public sector, and how many former offenders in total are currently employed in the public sector?
