It is critical for Temasek to build a strong culture of ownership within the firm and Singaporeans.
I refer to the article “Senior management changes at Temasek” (Straits Times, Oct 18).
It states that “”As our organisation and the operating environment evolve, the need to operate with agility, alignment and accountability has never been more important. It is critical for us to build a strong culture of ownership within our firm and our people””.
Since we are talking about “accountability has never been more important” – don’t you think that it is about time that Singaporeans are told what is the remuneration and benefits of Temasek’s CEO, top management and board of directors – since it manages $275 billion of public funds belonging to Singaporeans?
Are there any sovereign wealth funds in the world that do not disclose such information?
In this connection, I agree with “It is critical for us to build a strong culture of ownership within our firm and our people (Singaporeans)”.
