Attacking Tan Jee Say again – why? (Part 2)

I refer to the article “Tan Jee Say faces eviction from Orchard Road base” (Straits Times, Jul 21).

Tan Jee Say is not a director or shareholder of Chanson F&B, the tenant which has been served a notice of termination of tenancy by the landlord, Singapore Land Authority (SLA).

It is Tan Jee Say’s wife who is a shareholder of Chanson F&B. She is also not a director.

Moreover, since Tan Jee Say has been prevented from carrying out his original plan to hold policy discussions at the office premises, because the SLA had informed Chanson F&B in June (“Tan Jee Say’s discussion group plan in limbo”, Straits Times, Jun 4)http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_806874.html that it was not allowed to do so, as it would be in breach of the terms and conditions of use of the premises in the tenancy agreement.

Hence, what is the relevance of the notice of termination now to Tan Jee Say?

So, it is not Tan Jee Say who is facing eviction.
