Breaking news: “Crowdfunding for Judicial Review challenge
November 6th, 2021
Per our editorial dated 5th Nov and 31st Oct, we are pleased to announce that we have managed to confirm at least 15 potential litigants to proceed with the intended Judicial Review challenge (JR) against supposed discriminatory policies against the unvaccinated.
Since the number of litigants is expected to be way more than 15, the initial 15 potential litigants will kick-start the JR action and officially retain Carson Law Chambers’ services. The remaining litigants will join the JR action at a slightly later date, once the services of the lawyers have been retained. The lawyers have agreed to such an arrangement because the restrictive policies against the unvaccinated would make it impossible for them to meet all the unvaccinated litigants all at a go.
To enable the current group of litigants to kick-start the JR action, we are aiming to crowdfund the initial legal fees of S$35,000 out of an estimated total fee of S$50,000 to S$80.000.
According to the latest official stats, we understand that at least 100,000 unvaccinated individuals are affected by the policies slapped on them, from being turned away from a decent meal at a hawker center to the possibility of losing their jobs. We also understand quite a number of affected individuals are angry and frustrated, but for various reasons, they are unable/unwilling to partake in the JR action.
Be that as it may, we hope that those who feel strongly against the policies and those that are affected will contribute generously to this crowdfunding effort and support the current litigants, who are technically, also fighting to protect your rights – to live as a decent human being.
There are currently 2 mode of donations, via TR Emeritus’ (TRE) official PayPal account and Ms Han Hui Hui’s (lead litigant) local POSB account, the information of which is appended below.

With all due respect to the other litigants, Ms Han Hui Hui is the only person we are familiar with among the current group of litigants, so it is safer to use her account. Other payment options may be added in due course as and when it is reasonably safe to do so**. All donations received will be updated on a daily basis on TRE’s sidebar under “announcement” and in this post.
For starters, our in-house techie Andrew has taken the lead to donate S$100 to support this action as his parents are in Singapore, both unvaccinated due to underlying conditions.
In the meantime. we leave our readers with the following from a concerned reader:
It is important to make a point that as a Nation, there are people who disagree with such persecution of the minority group of our fellow citizens and let it be recorded in history that no matter how small our numbers are, we uphold the principles of Basic Human Rights to human life.
To corner and push a group of people who refused to take the vaccine which technically could not pass the stringent criteria of approval for mass inoculation, to the extent of persecution and losing their jobs, is immoral, unethical and totally unacceptable for any decent human beings with dignity.
Please help to share this post on your social media pages and channels.
Thank you for your continued support and do stay safe.
* Excluding bank and processor charges.
** If you wish to donate with your spare cryptocurrencies, please contact our Andrew for the related account information.”
