Question: Have you ever in your life been asked or suggested to stand as President?

TT: No

 

Question: Do you think president should do more than the 5 blocking powers.

TT: This is a complex issue which has to be studied and debated by government

 

Question: How much money have you lost by resigning from SPH and GIC in terms of average remuneration in a year in sacrifice for the people of Singapore by standing as a Presidential candidate.

TT: I have always viewed public service not as a monetary reward. There is now a ministerial pay review headed by Mr. Gerald Ee.

TT: President must be above Politics, to heal the divisions in society etc.
